Peugeot's compact maxi-scooter, the Citystar, will be available in the company's special series RS trim for 2013. With its low-profile tinted sports windscreen sitting above the black and chrome grille the Citystar has a purposeful appearance that is emphasised by the twin halogen 35W headlamps. Wheels, lower fork legs and passenger grab rail are all painted black, contrasting with the bodywork, in a choice of snow white or titanium.
Powered by a 15hp liquid cooled 125cc motor, the Citystar is responsive in traffic and capable on the open road, while fuel injection delivers excellent fuel economy (up to 80mpg). With its generous 9-litre fuel tank a range of more than 50 miles between refills is possible. Its 13’’ wheels are fitted with Michelin tyres for secure road holding and stability at speed, with a 260 mm brake disc at the front and 210 mm disc at the rear for controllable stopping power. A 90° turning radius makes the Citystar manoeuvrable in traffic and other tight spaces.
Despite its compact size, the Citystar offers maximum storage space, with a lockable compartment under the seat that can accommodate two helmets and a handy glove box with a 12V socket for charging devices while on the move
